About Kontrast Design
Kontrast Design is a Barcelona-based design and interior architecture studio. We believe that function, simplicity, and light are essential to everyday life. Our work blends the richness of Spanish design with the beauty of Swedish minimalism—two design languages united by the same spirit: light, calm, and natural simplicity
We specialize in adapting, remodeling, and reusing existing buildings, always optimizing flow and functionality. From homes to offices, we handle complete renovations, working closely with contractors, electricians, and plumbers to bring each client’s vision to life—on time and on budget. Sustainability is at the heart of our designs, creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also respectful of the environment.
Founded by Annika, who trained at Konstfack in Stockholm, the Art Institute of Chicago, and Universitat de Barcelona, Kontrastdesign has completed over 140 projects in Spain and Sweden, including award-winning offices and private residences. Every project is a close collaboration with our clients, because great design should not only look good—it should make you feel good.
